Mrs. Jennifer Wilson
Music has always had a large influence on my life. I began playing the piano at the age of 8. I wanted to take lessons sooner, but it took convincing my parents that this was something I really wanted to do. Shortly thereafter, I began private voice lessons. I continued to be involved in various forms of musical experiences from elementary school through high school. It was during my senior year of high school that I decided I wanted to become a Music Teacher. I enrolled in Clayton College & State University that fall, and had the honor of studying piano with Dr. Michiko Otaki, Professor of Keyboard Studies. I graduated from CCSU in 2002 with a B.A. in Music. I then enrolled in another program of study and completed my Certification in Education at the University of West Georgia in 2004. I have taught music at the preschool, elementary, middle, and now high school level. I also currently teach private piano and voice lessons, and have done so for the past fourteen years. I came to work at the Fine Arts Magnet Program at Mt. Zion High School in August of 2009. I currently teach Piano I, Piano II, Women’s Chorus, and Musical Theatre here at the Magnet Program.
I can honestly say that I truly enjoy the staff and students that I work with on a daily basis. The staff here is incredibly knowledgeable and talented. The students that I work with never cease to amaze me with their talents and potential.
